Bio
Tom Loverro is a Principal at RRE Ventures. Tom focuses on early and expansion stage investments in the consumer & digital media, mobile, and financial technology spaces.
Tom is actively involved with RRE’s investments in Drobo and On Deck Capital.
Prior to joining RRE, Tom worked at Lightbank in Chicago, where he focused on early stage investments including Betterfly.
Tom began his career at Goldman Sachs & Co., where he advised technology, media and telecommunications clients on M&A and corporate finance. Following Goldman, Tom joined RRE as an analyst where he was active in investments including Drobo, OpenPeak and Rave Mobile Safety. Tom’s involvement in Drobo led to him join the company full-time where he took responsibility for the company’s marketing, branding and product launch efforts.
Tom is also a Mentor for Excelerate Labs in Chicago and the Founder of the Young Executive Board of CampInteractive, a non-profit in Bronx, NY.
Tom holds an MBA from the Kellogg School of Management, where he was an Austin Scholar, and a BA from Stanford University, where he graduated with Distinction.
